No contest...if not for the 3 missed FGs the score would've been more indicative of the beatdown ATL took...protect Ryan I think this is a game, don't protect him...well we saw the result....good game Bengals...well deserved 2-0 start.

It is going to be very hard for any QB to do really well against us if we can rush 4 and drop 7 into coverage with all the 1st round picks we have in the secondary, and all-pro in Burfict.

Dalton played well, but he had three just horrendous throws that could have led to 2 TD's that got converted to 1 FG and a missed FG.

1/3 of Ryan's passing yards came in that one drive that got turned into a TD because the secondary was playing 10 to 15 yards off the WR's. I hate the prevent defense unless it is the final drive of the game basically and you are up by more than 1 score. You don't start prevent defenses with 10 minutes to go in the game regardless of score in my opinion. Keep a safety back but don't make the CB's play so far off the WR's.

They were bad throws -- He just forced them a little. I think it's probably difficult to wrap your mind around throwing to Dane and Tate when you're used to Green and Jones..... Probably trying to be a little too perfect and he just made some bad throws. He had a nice game yesterday. He continues to limit his mistakes and his pocket awareness when being rushed seems to be improving.

So far Dalton is looking like a new QB. He has been playing like a different QB since the preseason started into the regular season. Hope it holds up it is amazing to see people step up with the rash of injuries to start the season. Wonder when and if bad Andy is going to show up.

Glad the Bengals are coming to Houston this season makes it easy to go to a game. :)

Good luck this season..... Looks like an interesting battle in the NFC South. Carolina is better than all the talking heads thought.... Tampa is worse than all the talking heads thought. New Orleans is still New Orleans on the road and Atlanta is loaded with skill players and hurting on the line.

True...actually I was more impressed with the game in BAL, even though CIN got mostly FGs.

Why?

Not an excuse (because the same guys played vs NO, kind of fools gold as Matt avoid at least 3 sacks in that one to make the stat sheet look better), but the reality is the OT situation in ATL was less than ideal for a road game vs a good team...Matthews (the new LT who was the RT) missed the game, Baker (the LT, done for the season), put two backup at the T spots...and they got toasted...that's why my premise was if Ryan was protected.

Still...2-0, is 2-0. in control of the DIV.

That was ugly...all because you guys took them to the woodshed!! They in turn took us out back...but it's early still.

Early, indeed...any time now our quarterback could remember who he is......so far his amnesia is quite refreshing!
