If KC stinks or is just average, then nothing changes at all. The only thing affected is that KC's stock takes a hit.

That kind on no-drama ending is NOT what the redskins do.

I say he lights it up against three not good defenses, and REALLY puts the redskins and their crappy owner, manager, and coaches in a bind?

Trade RG3? Fire The shannys? Trade KC?

THAT'S what I expect to see these next three games!

It would mean that the organization made the wrong choice for starting RG3 in Week 1. Id be upset if we go 3-0 with KC and then they decide to trade Cousins for a 2nd round pick. "The organization" So - Shanahan had nothing to do with this choice? Please. At best he caved in to pressure from elsewhere which is not a good sign for a coach. You truly do sound like you are related to Cousins or else a complete RG3 hater.

well i dont know if 3 games will tell us a lot either way . it could raise his stock or he it could put him in position to be the franchise qb . either way it wouldnt be the end all be all

i think dean should be with me on this and we should simply trade Rg3 for what we can get and recoup some of the price we gave up for him

KC is the new anointed one and we should go with him because KC will never ever experience growing pangs of a young qb at least thats what dean thinks . he thinks KC ability to read defenses after one pro start would have magically made the o/line better , the OC call better plays , the ST's to tackle better , and the defense to stop giving up 31 points a game

i feel for KC , my HC has said i am the sacrificial lamb for Rg3's health this off season and all he is asking me to do is put 32 points up a game , just to have a chance to win

and if i do win my HC says it wont matter because RG3 is still the guy or at least that is what he told RG3

I would be elated if KC lights it up. Listen, Mike is gone. Snyder will be bringing in a new coach with the understanding that RG3 is the QB. If KC lights it up, then his trade value goes up. We get at least a 2nd, maybe a 1st if he really performs well. But there aren't many out there that believe that Kirk's upside is higher than RG3.

As far as proving the organization was wrong, great. If thats what float's your boat, have at it. Dean, buddy, I have no doubt you are a Skins fan. But you really suffer from an inferiority complex of some type. Your need to be "right" is troubling. I'm wrong all the time. I have no issues with admitting it. But its seems you almost take glee in RG3s troubles this year.

Things will get interesting if KC lights it up...I hope he does. It increases the options:

1) Trade KC in the offseason. If he lights it up, you will get at least a first rounder.

2) Trade RG3 in the offseason if you think his injuries are catastrophic or you just don't believe he is the guy. I think you can still get at least two #1s for him.


But one thing is for certain...the circus will be here and whomever we keep...better be great because the press will be merciless.

This freak show isn't twisted enough... We need the backup qb to completely outplay the anointed one for Washingtonians to go "RG WHO?!?!" The Danny to switch his star-crossed allegiances to KC, The Shannys to give Danny the smug comeuppance they both desperately want to be able to give him, and for RG3 to get away from the RGME show of this year, and back to the laser-precise, uber-talented qb he was last year.

To me if Kirk Cousins does really well it tells us 2 things RG3 is not very good at reading defenses or going through progressions.

I think Rg3 benching is performance based not b/c they want to protect him. If KC lights it up and the Skins can get two #1 picks for rg3 then you might see this origination take it. Especially if one of those #1 picks is Javeon Clowney. This is all speculation. The bottom line KC deserves a shot and I hope he make the best of it. All I know is that it is going to be a interesting offseason if he does well.

Bullock makes a very good point here. Alot of what some of us have been saying on the whole Cousins angle as far as him being prepared and his ability to read defenses.

Kirk does some things better than Grif. No argument. But don't be surprised if he doesn't struggle on sunday. Ill bet he throws a couple of pics and gets sacked at least 2 times if not more. Our line sucks even when the right protection is called. We also don't have enough serious receiving threats. Even if he does struggle, this by no means indicates that RG3 does not have both mental and technique issues he needs to work on.

If we can get the running game going, then that can take a lot of pressure off of Kirk, but if our defense gives up 2 or 3 early scores and we are down by double digits by halftime, it could be very tough for Kirk. I just hope he does bomb completely and devalues himself for off season trades.

J_Y.... a few things we can be sure of this week. Atlanta is going to bring the heat and throw everything they can at Cousins. While they are having an off season, they are looking for a feel good right about now. Its already been debunked that Atlanta is any worse than most of the defenses we have faced up to this point. I think (provided the team hasnt mailed it in) we are going to see a markedly better performance from the line and the offense as a whole. Sure we likely will give up a couple of sacks. But it will be very interesting to see how they perform with Cousins under center and him not coming into the game down by 30 points. The next three weeks will either prove that the line is garbage as has been said, or ...........

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet. There is also the possible advantage of little game tape on Cousins at this time that could help give an edge and that Jordan and Young will be back which definitely makes a difference. That's an additional solid receiving threat and someone who really helps our running game.
