It's the thumb. Those plants are actually about 25 years old. I left them at my ex-girl's house when we broke up about 15 years ago and I moved out. Turns out she maintained them and gave them back to me a few years ago when she moved to the beach.

As for the popcorn, I seriously just made a batch because I'm almost all out of food and wanted a snack. Naturally I had to check the NU board when I sat down, and bam! New drama thread! Was simply too perfect to resist...

I know. I dropped the landline service about 6 months ago, but they told me that I could keep the phone plugged in to access 911. I had not thought of that possibility, so I've kept it in case of an emergency when my cell is lost, damaged or recharging, etc. Notice it's tucked away back there.
