I'll probably at least check it out, though I never heard of the books until the series and know nothing about it. I'll get HBO again in a few months. I have watched Big Love since the beginning and even though its not that good any longer I want to watch the last season. That's around the same time as Game of Thrones.

I kind of liked Treme too. Kind of.

Game of Thrones looks pretty promising. I don't think anything will measure up to Rome for a series in an old era. Even Spartacus was very lame at many times. Hopefully Game of Thrones has a good storyline and good acting, as well as scenery and great fighting. Usually in series' like these they either have great graphics/scenery but no good flow to the story, or the story is great, but the acting and shitty graphics kill it... Time will tell.

And Boardwalk Empire was done very well... Not a huge fan of Buschemi's, but Michael Pitt did well.

I know nothing of this "Game of Thrones" or "Boardwalk Empires". When I do watch these TV Series, I ususally wait and watch them on DVD...ala Carnivale and Deadwood.

It may be the only thing worth watching with the Caps this season.

Who would have thought, 2 weeks into September that my CFB team, who had just lost at home to a 1aa team would be the best team going for me at this point, and one of the five hottest teams in the nation.

It is a long season though. The Caps have the horses, they just need to survive this lull. If I remember correctly, the Pens went through one right about this time in their Cup year.

Season is no where near over. People need to stop calling for Boudreau's head, he has done great with that team. Their falling into a slump at a good time in the season. Never count the caps out.

Let the government do it's job and support/regulate interstae trade, provide for the common defense, build an adequate infrastructure, and protect it's individual citizenship from abuse and predation. Tax me what it costs to do that. Otherwise, leave us the fuck alone and quit telling us what to do, how to act, and that you will take care of us!

A populace who solely relies on it's government is a populace who has lost it's damn way and it's damn initiative!
