I liked the 4th down b/c its was the 4th qtr and we needed a half of yard. If we recovered the onside kick each tema would have 1 possession. The point is the defense still would of had to make a stop to win the game. You guys felt that the defense couldn't make a stop at all.

Maybe that's because they couldn't on the 3 previous drives? Also, if we had taken the lead, Dallas would have had to rely more on the pass and less on the run, playing into whatever strength we do have on defense. That would greatly increase our chances of stopping them. Chances still wouldn't be great, from like 0% to 15%. But there is no doubt in my mind that no matter where they started their drive, with the lead they would have run it down our throats, eating up the.clock, and scoring. Meaning we would have had to score twice with very little time. Game over

Hate to say it Dean but you sound a lot like Bayless does in this video. He completely ignores the fact that the Redskins defense did poorly & blames Cousins for the loss due to Red Zone issues - moronic. Bayless' knowledge of football could fit on the head of a pin.

Sharpe appears to make a good pt about Kerrigan & Smith freelancing on D & letting the Boys get extra yds either on the ground or by extending pass plays. I hope that this is not totally accurate. If so this is an indictment of both the coaching staff & the players.

No. Once again you have to factor in the situation. We are going against Rodgers, 4th qtr, it was only a half a yard, the packers defense sucks, and the game wouldn't have been over if we failed to get it. The risk was worth the reward in that situation.
