Let me ask you something. Would you allow someone to drive any automobile when there weren't prepared to handle such dangerous machinery?
I suspect not and that's the point. This organization actually drafted guys who they WANTED to be what they were not at the time that they were selected.
We can debate whether or not the outcomes would have been different had either RGIII or Haskins sat. What's not debatable is the organization's failure to give them both their best opportunity to succeed. I'm aware of the in the moment dynamics, but that too points to who was in charge and who should have been. Washington has not been a good place to groom players, sadly, there's still no evidence that anything about that has changed.
I would possibly allow it in this scenario because the other option has dementia.
