lol, that is pretty nifty. However my guitar stands are so beat to shit, I doubt they'd hold a full pint.

sure, but then the condensation from the beer glass makes the foam wet, then you put your guitar back into the stand, and then the neck gets all sticky.
I'm all for innovation (see below), but this gets a thumbs down from me.

Also, never, never leave a beer sitting on an amp while you are playing through it.
