2012 Rangers' team winning percentage when Dempster started was higher than any other pitcher on the Rangers last year. He didn't do much for the Rangers in the much important162nd game, but it also wasn't his fault that the Rangers let themselves get in the situation where so much was riding on the 162nd game.
