I am happy that Murray got his money and that the Cowboys showed fiscal restraint. This is a major change in the way the Cowboys have done business in the past. Romo's cap hit goes to 17 mill next year if they don't touch it and I don't think they will. Draft a young RB and sign a Vet as stop gap insurance and move on. The Nfl is becoming more like College football with the new CBA and Rookie Wage scale. You have to graduate your Seniors and are allowed to keep a few to stay under the Cap. Its parity at it's best and worst at the same time.

The devil is in the details. Honestly if there is very little guaranteed money I am fine with this move. McFadden has obviously been one of the big RB busts of all time and has been injury prone and can't pass protect and none of us should be looking for him to be a top line or even clear cut #1 RB on this team...but, we have 3 other backs. If this is just another case of creating competition and cutting the worst fit of the bunch in early Sept I am fine with it. If a lot of this contract is guaranteed I'm not too happy...

I agree with you that the team wants that. I also want a RB committee myself unless one proves capable of handling the job. Still don't know if our main 3rd down back is on the team looking at all 4 of them. Tend to lean towards Ryan Williams as our best ball carrier right now and a fight for 3rd down duties between all...
