When healthy, and when he doesn't lead with his head...It's MERIWEATHER coach, is a decent NFL Safety. Players like Meriweather are a dying breed in the NFL...enjoy the hits while you can, its almost over.

He's not great (he got a pro bowl here but wasn't close to deserving), but at a mil it's not too bad. It doesn't prevent you from being able to address the position and it's not expensive.

Yep. I've read the draft isn't deep with safeties and we need someone... so someone we got. He's a known quantity and, like you said, if our pass rush improves, it'll hopefully have a ripple effect on our secondary.
