Amazing the speed and effort we've seen Breeland show running down players. Do wish we weren't in that position to begin with tho.
Very true. Hard to measure intangibles like football IQ, heart and competitiveness as well. There is clock fast and field fast. Just ask Jerry Rice. I think he was a 4.6 guy in the 40. Never saw him get caught from behind too often.

Too much emphasis put on stats alone at the combine imo. Great talent evaluators are able to fill in the gaps with great intangibles and get solid football players. Which is why the future seems so bright Currently with Scot, (tho Breeland was not his pick). Or maybe he was on his list, as they were using his evaluations during his year off...It's a funny thing, I have watched kids like the brothers who play WR at MD when they were in our program and we have a CB at Hawaii they ran free and easy all the time clock or no clock. Navorro Bowman could run like the wind since he was a little kid, put a clock on him and he slows down. My nephews; one is big and slow but he slows down more on the clock. The other nephew is a RB, he looks like a turtle when he is being timed but in the game he is much quicker. I think Breeland's 40 time wasn't that good but you don't see it on the field.![]()
Don't agree here. This was ZBS and you move your feet and wall off. The hole was inside LeRib and the FB blocked it that way too. RB missed the cut/read. JMO but it looked okay to me and I know the C has been struggling.
Right? Both guards were uncovered and both looked like they were running a fire drill. HOLY CRAP that was bad.
