Gruden has shown over the last two weeks that if the run game doesnt get going within the first ten run plays he calls, he will abandon it like an unwanted dog on the interstate.
The poor tackling was really pissing me off during the Jets game. In particular several of the DBs must have learned the Meriweather method of tackling (lean w/ the body & never use your arms) - pathetic.
I disagree that Gruden abandons the run too early. He seems to keep on it until the scoreboard forces his hand. Is he really supposed to stick to it and try to come back with constant 2nd and 10's? It was a complete waste of a down to try to force the run against the Jets, it was not going to happen. They were stuck on 7 in the 4th quarter against Atlanta, once they opened it up they finally started scoring points
