Not a real surprise.
Dean, the loss was a team loss, including the coaches, QB,STs and defense. No one individual was the sole reason why they got blown out. There were so many issues that the culmination is what causes a blow out.The team was ready to play. KC was not mentally ready to play. The play calls were fine. KC just missed throws and made wrong reads. Any QB who does that will not win the game. There is no way the Giants loss was on Gruden.
That's just it. I'm not assigning blame to any one individual, there were too many breakdowns for that. KC had nothing to do with ST gaffes or lack of turnovers by the defense or Jason reed's two drive killing penalties. I'm also not defending KC. His play contributed to the loss, no doubt.cmon jy19. Most of the blame should fall on KC shoulders. If KC was accurate on his throws it wouldn't have a been a blow out. If you are going to assign blame to someone its KC without a doubt. Add Jones to list too. The guys who turn the ball over should get the blame for the loss.
Also have to actually GET the TO of course. Cully has dropped 2 i think and Keenan had an opportunity too IIRC. We've had some shots, just hasn't happened yet. The D has to be more opportunistic.
A good pass rush definitely helps the D get opportunities for some TOs. Just gotta execute. Losing Galette ( even tho he never played in a real game) definitely hurt us. He was the one player showing some legit speed off the snap.
Are we missing Amerson?
I worry the Philly offense is going to get health against the depleted secondary. If the front four don't generate a pass rush I don't see how this team keeps it close...
