After watching Sammy Watkins' play against Ohio State, and we're still in the 3rd quarter, I'm on the Sammy gravy train. Not bandwagon people - I mean gravy train!!!

He's fearless and talented. He plowed through Ohio State LB Ron Shazier like Earl Campbell through Isiah Robertson. Like Bo Jackson through Brian Bosworth.

OK....OK... OK.... Watkins is the guy I want. Yes, I would be ok with Evans if that is what happened but I really really want this guy. He is 6'1" but plays 6'4"

Kelvin Benjamin is just as good as Evans. Same size, same 40 time. Very close in talent but KB will go later.
We need a #1 WR and a LT in the 1st. Instant upgrade on offense.

Sammy is just a beast of a weapon on offense.

Yeah bottom line is if we stay at #2 and take Watkins that one of Erving,Kouandjio,Lewan or Robinson will be there at #13...then go Craig Loston in the 2nd round, Jackson Jeffcoat in the 3rd and DT in the 4th.

We can really boost our offense with this draft. Even if we keep the picks we have.

I totally agree SJ76. Perhaps this time the Rams will follow your suggestions.

Yea Red. They should in this case because SJ76 and KSUDodgers are the best at judging talent.

No WR is going to fix this offense if the OL isn't fixed first.

The Rams just drafted the fastest WR in the draft last year and look how much he "lit up the scoreboard" (40, 418 and 4 TD ).

This OL is great at run blocking but is terrible at pass protection. Until that is addressed, it won't matter who the Rams take at WR.

And hoping the 3rd or 4th best OT falls to #13 is an awfully risky gamble when you can take the best OT whose lineage speaks for itself. Heck, I would rather see Matthews and one of the other OT's at #13, then Gabe Jackson in the 2nd. OL fixed and then they can address the other positions.

It won't happen, but it would be nice if it did. Especially if they could convince Saffold to resign and stay at G. Look, Barksdale is average and Long is going to miss a chunk of next season still recovering from ACL surgery and when he gets back, we don't even know how he is going to be.

I am of the mindset this team needs 2 OT's, not just 1 and another guard even if Saffold resigns and stays at G. It's time the offense catches up with the defense and it starts in the trenches.

2 words about drafting an OT at #2..... JASON SMITH! IMO, Kouandjio,Erving,Robinson and Lewan are just as good as Matthews and so getting one of them would not be as big a drop as passing on Watkins and hoping that Evans is there at #13, and even that is a step down. And if Evans is gone at #13, Devonte Parker, Odell Beckham, Brandon Crooks and the others are just simply nowhere near Watkins or Evans.

I think we all agree Angelakerams. It is a case this year that we can accomplish both tasks and get some pretty darn good upgrades on O and fill in the rest of the holes on D if we have a great draft.

Would love to see the wr from Clemson as a ram. We need a true #1 not a bunch of role player wrs. Givens, pettis, quick, austin, bailey aren't going to cut it. ESPECIALLY since Givens regressed.

Yea Germaine, Givens has regressed to the point of wussification. That dude needs to be toughened up next year in camp.

Come on KSU

You can't seriously compare Matthews and his body of work ( not to mention his family pedigree ) with Smith, a converted TE with very little body of work.

And, you can't assume Erving, Kou, Robinson and Lewan will be available at #13. If they take Watkins at #2, and the OT's are gone by #13, Watkins will be of no help because this OL is terrible at pass protection.

Better to fix the OL, then address the WR position than to take the top WR and "hope" one of the other OT's fall to #13 and are as good as Matthews.

Do the Rams need a #1 WR? Absolutely. Will he make any difference to the offense if the OL isn't addressed? Absolutely not.

Can't put the cart before the horse.

Plus, I am tired of the Rams trying to fix the offense with all these WR's drafted "to help Sam out", and completely ignore the one thing that would help him most (OL).
