I got Ritz winning too... He is the only one with the 3 HOF pitchers, and i think it really makes his rotation tough... and TIM RAINES BABY!!!

Not sure whats funny, what I said was 100% true. My lineup is without question better... Dick Allen batting 9th?

Raines > Concepcion
Randolph < Brett
Murray < Williams
Robinson > Campanella
Cochrane < Ott
Trammell < Johnson
Pinson < Murphy
Kuehn < Powell
Allen > Grich

6-3

I do like your rotation but I like mine slightly better.

Frank Howard might be the best bench bat in the draft, Nos by a player.

I got Ritz. Conception as a lead off hitter bothers me for Nos. Very weak leadoff guy for this type of draft

This is a very even match, another where I had Nos team ranked stronger just on player values 1-24, but on the field, there are some issues. The teams are so close, the biggest difference to me is a great, speedy leadoff in Raines, probably #2 ever to Henderson, against a so so guy in Concepcion. Plus a couple of guys that are a little overrated in Murphy and Powell. Close matchup, Ritz in 7

I have Ritz taking this one. I feel like the batting lineup is pretty even while Ritz wins with his rotation and bullpen.

I had Johnson leading off but you guys would have complained about that so I switched it last minute. I think the most overrated thing in these baseball drafts is thinking you need speed batting first, you have the best hitters ever coming up right after the leadoff hitter, theres a reason you don't see a bunch of steals in all star games.

I gotta say you guys are Nutz but congrats on moving on Ritz ol' buddy... :suds:

Thanks bro. You had a great team but I feel you nailed it why the votes fell my way. The league likes fast OBP guys leading off and it showed how 1 placement of a player can cost you in the playoffs. I lost having Pete Rose, shoe less joe Jackson cuz I had them batting down in the order instead of 1 and 2. The league liked my team but destroyed my lineup so I ended up losing. Once again great team, I always hate playing you because I know it will be a battle.

It's not about speed for me. Concepcion is a below league average hitter for his career.

He wasn't drafted for his hitting, although 2300 hits aint bad, he was a decent hitter in his prime and stole some bases. Like I said I had Johnson leading off and its still listed that way on the team thread but knowing how most of you judge it made me switch...

Don't listen to the rest of these nimrods :suds: Leadoff hitters get your most ABs so the quality of the hitter should be much more important than speed. You didn't draft Concepcion for his hitting but when you bat him leadoff instead of ninth you make it about his hitting.

Well you should have went with your first instinct! Yount is a little better than Concepcion lol. I never really considered Oliva second but you're probably right. And you should have voted for my team because it should have won!
