Sinclair's regional sports unit files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Sinclair's Diamond Sports Group said it would continue to televise live games on its Bally Sports channels during bankruptcy proceedings.

They intend to continue broadcasting while going through BK.

The issue is baseball.
If MLB leaves Diamond sports, they will fold.
Hockey is on so they have something to show when baseball isn’t being played.

The other issue is the salary cap. If teams don’t get paid, the cap can’t go up. Teams will look to dump contracts which will annoy fans

Not sure what the ramifications are here...

But - this has the potential of being a serious game changer.
