Meanwhile Jerome Simpson is chugging along with seven receptions.....He's only played in four games, but that is a 28 reception pace if he was going to play all year....yeah, we have really missed Jerome.....

Binns wouldn't even be on a roster if he weren't on ours. So Simpson's contribution would still be 100% more than Binns.

Regardless of what was done or wasn't done in the offseason, we have to find out what we have going forward. It's pretty clear that Binns and Tate are limited receivers that shouldn't be starting in this league. Hawkins is a slot guy and more of specialist. We need to know if Sanu or Jones can be a long term solution.... They both need as many snaps as possible the rest of the season.

Simpson is talented, but we are seeing now in Minnesota what had already become evident here. Jerome Simpson is a huge jackass. It is unfortunate his talented didn't make up for his jackassedness (see young version of Chad Johnson or Carl Pickens), but that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Hawkins is exactly that, a specialist. He's not a full time slot guy. I could go for a dose of (an uninjured) Shipley and Caldwell.

Hard to evaluate a slot guy when the 2nd receiver is so awful..... Hawkins isn't a number 2 receiver but he's also not getting any favors given that after Green he is drawing the most attention from the defense.

BTW -- Ever notice how every pattern Tate is involved in almost ends up a pick 6 the other way? Why does he play?
