I know this will make some of you mad.

2. Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe to the Cincinnati Bengals for Cincinnati’s 2013 second-round pick:

Cincinnati’s lost three straight games and the passing game’s looking easier and easier to solve. The game plan? Cover A.J. Green and let someone else beat you. That “someone else” hasn’t stepped up. The second wideout spot was a concern before the season started and though 5-foot-7 Andrew Hawkins has made some plays, he’s not a legitimate No. 2. Dwayne Bowe would offer Andy Dalton a dangerous 1-2 combo at wide receiver. Bowe was unhappy with being franchised and not given a long-term deal in the offseason and would likely welcome a trade to a competitor. The Bengals, meanwhile, have both of Oakland’s first-round picks next year, making their 2013 second rounder less of a commodity. Cincy would have to pick up the rest of Bowe’s $9.5 million contract this season. He’d be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year. This would be the rare “all in” move from Mike Brown and Co. I like it.

Personally, I like it. Bowe is a pretty good receiver that we have money to pay, and it would allow us to not have to draft where we would probably just pick another chump that a) doesn't contribute or b)doesn't make the roster. But hey, what do I know...

cue Armon Binns fanboys and homers.

LOL! This move would be ideal if we weren't the Bengals.

We'd rather suck and then kick the tires of some over-the-hill guys in the offseason.

I struggle to find reasons why we SHOULDN'T do this, but as you pointed out, this would be a very un-bengal like move and I don't expect it to happen.

This would be sort of funny if it did happen.... Essentially we would have turned the Carson Palmer fleece into Dre Kirkpatrick and nine games of Dwayne Bowe during a 6-10 season. Who-Dey!

We aren't going anywhere this season. I'd rather save our pick and grab him in the offseason.

This. I don't think Bowe is special enough to solve our running game and secondary issues. Therefore, I would most definitely want the pick, as we aren't doing shit this year, plain and simple.

Word is the Chiefs are shopping him for only a 3rd pick, so MB may be dumb enough to bite just to put fans in seats, but I agree with the consensus, this season already was going to be a wash, so FA would be more desirable, but looking at our history at signing free agents and the fact that he will most likely have a couple teams after him, it's probably laughable to consider us as contenders.

having Armon Binns as his #2 Receiver is not doing a dang thing for Andy Dalton. Either move Sanu up (jones is injured) and release Binns outright or do the trade. Andy Dalton will be playing in the Arena league in 2 years if this shit continues.

I agree, #2 has to eventually be there, but regardless of who is #2, if we can't devlop a running game, the blitzes will be more potent because they do not need as many to cover and when they do play base, they can keep only 6 home to protect against the run and still shut it down completely.

If Dalton doesn't get a running game, he is going to be throwing into tight windows all season long.

Plus, even if we do get a good #2, and we go for the shootout mehtod of trying to win, is this team good enough, or even mature enough to get into a shootout with guys like the Mannings and some of the other QB's and teams we are about to see? I don't.

Who is this going to make mad? Why do you keep insisting that there are Binns 'homers and fanboys?' Name one on this board.

We had a few this past offseason. They were dead wrong.

We also had some Hawkins fanbois that thought he could be the #2.

Though I agree they won't be mad anymore if reality has struck them.

I don't remember anybody saying Binns would be awesome. They said he had shown some potential, and we weren't losing much by dropping Simpson (he of the large forehead, dropped passes, and fumbles).

Bowe's a young WR playing on a franchise tag who'll probably want a deal in the ballpark of Vincent Jackson's.

Green will probably want a Larry Fitzgerald/Calvin Johnson type deal as soon as he's able to sign an extension. He's deserving of it too..

That's too much money to have tied up at the WR position..

I hate the idea of a high priced number 2 WR for this team. just develop the guys on the roster, and maybe spend an early draft pick on one next yr if it's that much of a priority

Meanwhile Jerome Simpson is chugging along with seven receptions.....He's only played in four games, but that is a 28 reception pace if he was going to play all year....yeah, we have really missed Jerome.....

"weren't losing much" is a twist for the ages.
