Signed DJ Jones today... I like this signing... 3 years 30 m... He will help in the run game and can put a little pressure on the QB. Still young and really has come on the past few years.

Shelby Harris replacement.

Better than the Chargers new DT?

I would say somewhat similar type of signing. I personally like Jones a bit more. Joseph-Day benefitted a decent amount playing next to Aaron Donald (Zero knock to him players make each other better that is how you build a good team and all) but I think overall DJ Jones is a better then Joseph-Day. Joseph-Day also has that Brandon Staley connection to the Chargers. Both good signings, IMO. Both can get some pressure on the QB. Jones plays the run a better but Day does a good job at that too. Jones has proved to be a little more durable as well. I would have aimed for Jones first and Joseph-Day second.

Chargers signing JC Jackson with Joseph-Day to plug in the middle next to and behind Bosa and Mack is a huge start for them though.

The Chiefs aren't going to have a cake walk in this division!

Big body at 305 lbs. PFT's top 100 free agent list has him at 44th. I like that he's young and played all games last season. Paton finds another diamond in the rough?

NFL.com has him at 28th so he’s a good name for sure.

I really, really like this signing. I think getting a 27 year old getting close to full maturity is so much better than drafting a DT and expecting him to contribute right away.

I also wonder if anyone asked Russell about Jones since they faced each other twice a year.

Yeah... I like this signing. I thought our Dline was weak before the trade. I wouldn't mind signing another lineman. I imagine Jones plays on the end in a 34. I wouldn't mind a NT to eat space in there.

the best answer is when the fans of the former team hate losing him

this from my friend a die hard 49ers fan

hey we just signed DJ Jones

“That sucks. He is a great player. I hate the NFL right now. Hate the 49ers. They are trash. Good for Broncos.”

Jimmy G is an albatross around thier neck right now

Not since "Pot Roast" have the Broncos had a NT who could shut down the middle run game so well - and keep blockers of the ILBs who need to run around and make plays, I really like this signing. Having Jones in the middle also helps entice perhaps an Edge Rusher who wants to play with a contender.
