I mean, I'm cynical enough to believe that each and every person in the NHL is on performance enhancing drugs, but I'm not going to accuse them of it without serious proof, and I'm just a nobody on a message board. Steigerwald is a reporter who theoretically has a responsibility to not slander people without at least a shred of evidence. And no, having a doctor that gave somebody else steroids is not evidence. Having an athletic parent isn't evidence. Doing really well in a sport and then trailing off is not evidence. So far the only evidence I've seen so far is that Steigerwhat has presented is that he is willing to accept "whispers" from sources he won't name but might be as trustworthy as people posting on ESPN forums, which is only evidence that he is, as Bossman so eloquently put it, a tool. Christ, have some journalistic integrity.
