Honestly I think the cold weather thing was real, when Manning played all his home games in a dome. Now that he's been in Denver for two years he's been able to adjust. It's experience and confidence more than anything. He still needs to show he can do it in the playoffs but honestly I doubt the cold weather will influence the betting lines much, if at all. His past troubles were more based on the talent of the teams he was facing than anything else.

That's a point that is often missed. Seems pretty obvious that teams play consistently tougher competition in the playoffs than they do from week to week during the regular season. Also agree that playing in a dome all of those years was likely to make it more difficult to adjust to playing in cold weather.

Yes people put too much on a QB after a loss... I understand if the QB had 2 pick 6s but if he puts up numbers like Manning did (in the losses) you can't blame him... The defense needs to be talked about, period.

I think this argument is unfortunate. No, Manning doesn't put up quite the same numbers in bad weather, but who does? The answer is Brady, he is exceptional in bad weather, this doesn't make Manning bad! Why can't Brady just get praise without Manning getting heat for not being as good.

By the way, whichever poster it was who said Brady has had twice the talent as Manning should be banned for stupidity.

What was Manning saying about Cold Weather?

I thought it was pretty funny he got all uppity after beating the Titans last week who will be watching the playoffs like the rest of us this year.

Then he comes out and lays an egg on (marginally) national tv last night. Vs a warm weather team.

Why do I get the impression that you didn't watch the game?

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Manning layed an egg. He didn't generate much offense for his team, but he was statistically pretty efficient:

Denver Passing
C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT SACKS QBR RTG
P. Manning 27/41 289 7.0 2 1 1-12 61.5 92.4

Plus, it wasn't very cold.
