Should we consider playing Kirk Cousins? RG3 clearly isn't ready, I know that he needs to shake off that rust..but this is the second week that our offense has started of slow and sluggish.

No. He isn't playing yet to the level of last year, but he didn't play bad. He has to just play through the rust. Sitting him would not help that.

Defense giving up 30+ points a game has nothing to do with RGIII being rusty.

but by all means...... start Cousins :D

No. Absolute stupidity and there's no nicer way to say it.

Absolutely not, unless there is some injury we are not aware of.

We need to go back to our last 7 games on tape and get back to what made us the NFCE champs. If we are going to change everything then we are back to rebuilding this whole team. RG3 is a great Passer, but he is a dangerous runner. When added together we are one of the best offenses in the league. Making him one dimensional is what is causing our offense to sputter. We have to use his speed and legs to get us going again. If he is not ready to do this then we might need to look at Cousins. but we are better with a mobile RG3. I just can not believe that our coaching staff is listening to everyone that said they should make RG3 a pocket passer.

You don't start Cousins because it sends the wrong message to RG3. He has to play his way back from his injury.

For all those who are saying RG3 hasn't been bad...you are kidding. He has been horrible. He hasn't started to play until we are down by 30.

For all those blaming the defense alone...the defense was not going to be a strength of this team. The Offense was. The offense is not keeping our defense off the field and that is where the problem is.

No way can I completely agree with this. It is one thing to refer to the 1st of half of the Eagles game & place a lot of blame on the offense for the turnovers & such. However - when you give up almost 600 yds the defense has to take a huge part of the blame.

Sure - nobody expected the defense to be that good. However - we expected them to at least not constantly give up huge drives, points, etc. As bad as the score was - it should have been worse. Save for the opening drive where the Packer stepped out of bounds & the play at the end of the half where the Packer fumbled at the goal line the Packers offense would have scored 7 TDs - inexcusable.

It is also not as if the offense in this game had pick sixes or turned the ball over deep in their territory. All of this was the result of a bad defense with bad tackling, no covering, etc.

Sure they need to improve the offense & be effective from the 1st QTR on, but if this defense does not improve this team is doomed. I can accept giving up a certain amt of pts & yardage. What I cannot accept is lousy tackling, players constantly out of position & what appears to be poor communication on the field. This defense at least needs to show some improvement & yes I expect that.

At strong safety?

Why not. Couldn't get much worse.

If Darrell Green were on the field today (at his current age) I believe he would have been the Redskins best DB today.

Our real problem on offense was masked last year by Griffin. Now that our offensive line is being asked to actually protect a pocket passer since we have completely abandoned the zone read, they can't due it. Our line is complete garbage with the exception of Williams. We were able to run off 7 straight wins last season because of Griffin and smoke and mirrors on defense. Until Griffin is completely healthy, takes off the knee brace or should I say training wheels, this offense will not be back to where it was. It may never be if he doesn't fully recover but only time will tell.

Yep & what is sad is that even with this Morris appears to be a real good back & they have some pretty decent receivers. However - that won't cut it with a restrained offense, terrible defense & somewhat limited protection. Time for the coaches to earn their money.
