I think both are outside looking in. Hanky is the 7th WR and we may keep 6, if we keep 5 even Moss should be worried. Thompson is the 4th or 5th RB and we're keeping 3 RBs plus Young at FB. Both guys need to jump over 1 or 2 other players and they can't do that from the bench.
I agree Hanky may start on PUP, but unless there are some injuries at WR between now and October, when his time on PUP comes due he won't have a roster spot waiting for him.
Very. Thompson is an injury waiting to happen. We have other options. Unless he has a huge performance in the next 2 weeks, he won't be on the 53 man roster.
Hank may be OK as far as the roster goes, but his days are waning. He is begin passed over while he sits on the sideline. Even if he were healthy, he would be demoted to 5th or 6th WR. He is in his contract year....this should be his time for his big payday. Unfortunately for him, it ain't gonna happen.
Ryan Grant has been stepping up too, so to me I would think Hankerson should be worried as well as Thompson by him being hurt and sitting out either Evan Royster or Silas Redd will make it over him
thompson should be very worried, redd royster and lache are battling and playing well while thompson did nothing to separate himself from the bunch and now is battling injuries like always. plus thompson is a shanny guy while lache and redd are gruden guys and royster is a reliable vet who can block and by the looks of last game, catch.
hank i dont think they would cut him, PUP is the best option for him and the team even if he doesnt want it.
