honestly, it's not the severity of suspensions that impresses me, it's the clarity of the decision making process.
I hope to see videos and explanations for everything he looks at, suspension or not.

I know I will seem like a screaming homer here but this is JMO. The hit did not look like an intentional shot to the head, Shanny even said he believes this.

So where do we go from here, unintentional head shots are now suspendable? I know he has a tough thankless job but my concern is we are getting to the point where checking is going to be suspect to suspension if a player turns his head at the last second or ducks at the last second or even where height difference will come into play.

Be careful what you ask for you might just get it. As I said JMO.

Good point sbb, we have seen a lot of that too over the last couple of years.

Shanny has been pretty clear that in each case the player has not turned into a vulnerable position immediately preceding or in conjunction with the hit.
so they are taking that into account, anyways

All I heard was Cal Clusterfuck went after him and Wiz laid his ass out. And supposedly a few second before that, Clusterfuck picked on the notoriously tough Fedor Tyutin, which is what caused Wiz to get pissed in the first place.

Kinda strange to see a Blue Jacket standing up for a teammate like that, if that is what happened.

the wording is "intentional or reckless".
Boyes' hit falls under the latter.
