Wow, Not really a goalie battle here.

Trueniners must be furious about the refs tonight.

sharks are playing extremely aggressive, challenging every wings player with the puck, especially on the pk, you gotta believe the wings' skill will be able to take advantage.

You'd hope. It's an open game, which the Wings play better than the neutral zone clog crap Phoenix puts up. The problem is, most of the teams willing to do that with the Wings are pretty confident they have the skill to hang with them and are rarely wrong.

Why does everyone talk about getting fresh ice for powerplays carrying into the next period? I've always been a fan of having to kill a 46 second, then a 1:14 penalty over a full two minutes. Especially when the second power play starts in the neutral zone.

I think it depends on the ice quality. Some places it doesn't matter, but by the end of the period at others, the ice can make it tough to make passes. Probably not a factor everywhere.

San Jose never scores when the power play is split over an intermission. The wings should only commit penalties with two minutes or more in a period. :)

I don't supposed they have the puddles from the wet ice that eat up passes like my local rink.

but yeah, the extra whistle and face-off outside the zone is a distinct advantage to the PK, imho.

Hitting the head called boarding on Marleau.

Most of the calls tonight have been weak. I want to see some 5v5 hockey, forget this special teams shit.
