Thornton has actually played pretty decent in the playoffs the past few season, but unfortunately for him he's gonna have to win a cup to shake the choker moniker. IMO he's already past that, but many don't see it that way.

Well, yeah, he's been decent, but Joe Thornton is more than a decent hockey player. Now he has his first so-so regular season since the lockout, and he's become a good playoff player!

Wow, feels like the Sharks stole it. Niemi had to be great, the Wings had a lot of chances and for the first time this playoffs I will say the Sharks were lucky to win. Yet I feel like theres been dozens of times during the playoffs the last few years where Ive said they were unlucky to lose, so its nice being on the other side.

Tough game, Wings fans. Your team probably did enough to win. Only thing you can fault them on is not having more of a killer instinct in the 3rd. Series still not over, we learned that last year and with Chi/Van this year.

Looking at some of these replays in the game recaps, Howard gave up some pretty shitty ones tonight (2nd and 4th?)... maybe the snow shower crying DID get to him.

Like I said before the series started, fuck the Islanders for not letting us Sharks fans face Nabby this series!

I like Nabby too... so it would have been win-win (if the Sharks beat him, yay, the Sharks move on OR if he beat the Sharks, to a lesser degree, obviously).

Regardless, Nabby would have been a huge upgrade over Howard so maybe better that the Sharks don't have to face him. /shrug

i think Howard is way better than Nabby at this point. seriously. Howard has played very well, these have been really close games.

and for the record you know i don't like or miss Nabby and his cancer in the locker room attitude. good riddance. Islanders did Wings a favor picking him up, that guy will never win a cup in net (maybe on the bench somewhere).
