Dennis Allen?
Mike Munchack?
Swartz?
Coughlin?

There are normally around 7 openings, right? We're at 4 right now.

BTW -- Not sure who wants that Minny job. No quarterback and now they are looking at a 2 year stint outdoors while the new stadium gets built. My guess is that they are going to hire a cheap coach. Wonder if Zimmer or Gruden get love their.

Possibly. They should be able to draft a guy from this bunch of quarterbacks.

The Detroit job would be an interesting one if it comes open. They are loaded with talent but short on character.

Isn't their new stadium going to be outdoors anyway?

Really, my biggest worry for losing Zimmer is from Cleveland. They already have their offensive guru in Norv Turner, but he won't be promoted again for a while. Seems like one of the few places that wouldn't mind taking a flier on a defensive coach.

No doubt our coordinator both will receive some scrutiny.

No. It's going to have a clear roof.

I'm fairly sure there a few folks on this board that would like the job. I've been hearing about the Tampa talent for most of the season.

Zimmer with the Cleveland D would be sick.

I wonder if the Bengals would consider Jim Schwartz for a DC if Zimmer gets a job.... I believe Scwartz was on one of Marvin's defensive staffs in Baltimore.

Schiano's firing was inevitable. But I'll still stick with my original premise that he inherited a terrible QB situation and did a good job building up the rest of the roster around it...

"Citing four sources, USA Today reports Josh Freeman was late for "numerous meetings" during his three months with the Vikings, and was "often among the last players to the facility."

Josh Freeman - Minnesota Vikings - 2014 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Freeman was already in place as the starter when Schiano took over. I would have been curious to see how the team played with Schiano's hand picked QB the entire season in 2014 with Schiano still on as the coach.

It's a results oriented job so I don't have much of an issue with Schiano getting the ax, but I do think he left a good situation in place for the next coach
