I agree entirely. But logic isn't a requirement for the media. The media will definitely have a field day with this, for a very long time, if Kaep loses this "duel".

Exactly. It doesn't help that Kaep isn't exactly "traditional" as a QB. The media really wants to see him either fail or be amazing. They don't want him to be a decent QB lol. But the headlines will be something about smith's revenge/Niners made the wrong choice if the chiefs win and "Kaep > Smith" if we win. Which I think is dumb but like you said, it's gonna happen.

Looks like you might be alone in giving a crap about the comparison of Kap vs Alex and other 9er fans caring how Alex feels about the 9ers. Stats are close between the two but this is Kap's team now...no going back.

No Montana vs Young happening in this game. Kap nor Smith will ever be HOFers IMO. Just a game that the 9ers need to win.

I posted for the rest of the article saying that both went to a better place for them, not really the stats. I don't care about statistical comparisons. Football is more than just a game to me, it has personal human aspects, so how both QBs feel is relevant to me (but distant to actual games).
