Game moved up an hour to avoid rain expected at 6-7PM in Chicago.

Interesting matchup between the 1st week strike out kings (44 K's in 3 games vs, Yankees) and the 8.0 era Sox bullpen.

It seems to me Grifol handled Moncada's 1st out at 3rd base stretch for the triple very well - as Moncada is smiling in the dugout and smacking the ball very well. Grifol had his back.

The bullpen has to be better than what we saw in Houston - right?

The 2022 White Sox ranked second in baseball with 1,435 hits, but 19th with only 686 runs. That was in large part due to a .269 team batting average with runners in scoring position, and an even worse .223 average with the bases loaded.

This simply has got to change. We don't need a 2023 redux on this. Period.

It pains me to think that there is a high probability that sometime in this upcoming offseason I'm gonna have to hear richi tell me about how trading Dylan Cease for 2 hot prospects was a good move.

We traded Quintana for Cease and Jimenez, who at the time were just 2 hot prospects. Easily the most lopsided-best trade the Sox ever made in my lifetime. Cease alone more than makes it so. Now if only If Eloy can just stay healthy, maybe go on IL just this one time in '23, he's the icing on the cake.

jiminez will only have a successful career if he's traded away from the sox. he stays with the sox and he'll play maybe half a season at most for them. absolutely a worthless athlete.

I just googled it and Cease is only making 5.7 million and is a free agent this offseason. So scratch that on 2 prospects...He's just leaving if his dominance continues. No chance we match a market offer LOL...

I think what happened here is Cease either signed off on the arbitration or he and the Sox came up with a compromised amount. He's under contract thru '25 before he can hit free agency.

Edit: But you're right in that the Sox better offer a sizable extension amount or yes, he will walk once he can.
