wondering how y'all feel about the sox now. do you think things are different? headed in a good direction with the new acquisitions? or does the fact it's still the same upper management and owner nothing is really changed? yes, there's nowhere to go but up, but is that really satisfying? i mean will you be happy going from 120 losses to only 95?

myself, i'm still skeptical. reindork is poison, and i feel we can be sure that no matter how many things go right ... he'll be there to make terrible decisions and find another way to shaft the team and the fans. wondering if i'm alone.

I feel numb and empty of emotion towards the whole situation. I expect a season where we will hover around 100 losses and hopefully manage to stay below, somehow.

What is a realistic way for me to look back next October and "approve" of the 2025 season? It's hard, right? Since, we know we're going to be bad. However, I would say that if our young players show some positives signs, maybe a couple really emerge, and we improve as the year goes along? Maybe we have a nice few week stretch of baseball towards July/Aug/Sep where we really get some positives rolling? Take some series down?

I guess... that's a positive season? Given the circumstances?

Of course, after what transpired with the previous rebuild. There's simply no way to ease White Sox fans frustration with promises of a future to come. I don't speak for others, but I do feel like we're all on ROUGHLY the same page. I will believe the positives when I see them pan out. As in, when the Chicago White Sox beginning winning baseball games again and are competitive in the AL Central.

I don't think anyone is drinking the kool-aid this time around. I'm going to be honest, I almost don't even want to learn too much about these prospects. In 2017, 18, 19, etc. I think I knew every square inch of our farm system and had such high hopes for everyone. I can't do that to myself again. See ya when you get here.

I'm indifferent. I'll always love the Sox and hope for lightning in a bottle type seasons, because God as a Chicago sports fan would it be nice to experience more playoff games, but I'm not expecting anything out of them at this point.

The reality that I expect is that we'll be a feeder team for the real contenders. Once it's time to pay out the big contracts, players will be moved so we'll never experience sustained year-to-year success. To achieve those "lightning in a bottle" type seasons we'll need a gaggle of same generation young talent to gel together for a year or two while they are still young and hope they are too stupid to realize they shouldn't win it all. We are the Marlins of Chicago at this point.
