As long as it is better than the suckfest final we had at Wimbledon then I don't care who makes it. Nothing worse than watching an entire tournament only to have to sit through bad tennis in the final.

Isn't it time that we stop pretending Vika isn't in the same league as Serena on hard courts? She's 73-7 over the last two years (a better percentage than Serena), with two of three majors. And in the third, she gave Serena all she could handle (and likely would have won on a neutral court).

Are you saying that Vika did not play hard against Serena and worn on merit against her in their last meeting? Serena did not say she was hurt in this one and played well to reach the final. Vika had the chance to beat her on hard courts and she took it. Granted Serena was serving for the match at 5-4 but Vika raised her game and sent it to the third sets where she won.

If you watched the match you realized that it is difficult for Serena's aces to fly by on hard courts. Reason for her high count of unforced errors. Serena respects Vika tremendously for a reason.

All of that is true, but it was evident that Ree was not serving her best.

Shriver talked about the ab injury then when Serena was seen rubbing

her stomach and her forearm. Her serve speed was down all week

Pam noted that her avg serve speed was 15 to 20 mph less than Toronto.

And Ab injuries do impair the serve. The arm didn''t help either.

Cliffy also spoke of the injuries while calling the Halep match today.

In a close match like they played that can make a big difference.

Vika is to be commended for stepping up and playing very well, but

that was not Serena at her best. Serena, nor Venus, like to use injury

as an excuse so ,She may not speak of it in an interview

I'm hoping that they both come out of the gate playing well at the Open, and really peak in a final against one another.
