It is going to be a good one; tomorrow 4 pm eastern. I wouldn't mind Serena winning, but I hope this one goes to Vika.

As we all know, Serena anywhere near her best will beat Vika and anybody else at their very best.

Serena's serve has been good this week, but not as excellent as we've seen the rest of the year. If it's not working today, she could get a little flustered and start focusing more on NY than the task at hand. She's already won the US Open Series, and had a very good summer swing getting ready for the Open.

If Serena is even at 75%, she should win this match.

Special, I checked on both but decided to settle here. I was expecting more posters from ESPN tennis forum to come and check here but it became a vicious cycle where because there were not many posters here posters checked and went. At the same time because posters checked and went there are not many posters sticking around. I was anticipating the fact that posters normally gravitate to places where everybody knows their names and I am sure because there was no consensus as to where everybody was going once ESPN board flames out, posters were left to check out other fora in a continuous cycle.

For this tennis forum to flourish I hope word goes out to other fora while at the same time, we posters on this fora continue to post interesting threads and other ancillary issues with players. It takes time.

Now, Vika is showing she is worthy # 2 and may eventually win this match. She has no fierce and is playing with more passion than Serena who seems lethargic here.

Actually, Vika fought for it. She did not fold. She always fights hard against Serena. She is the only one who can give Serena her money's worth. I have confidence in Vika. Congratulations, Vika.

Isn't it time that we stop pretending Vika isn't in the same league as Serena on hard courts? She's 73-7 over the last two years (a better percentage than Serena), with two of three majors. And in the third, she gave Serena all she could handle (and likely would have won on a neutral court).

I know my Vika won today and gave it all as she should with a champion such as Serena. But let us face it, not many times do you get Serena when she is serving 5-4 for the match and she loses.

Yes. From ESPN tennis board that is how he operates. Gross is always scared.

I dont think I have ever come across a Henin fan, LOL.

cezero, is not rational when it comes to Henin. He calls her "rat-face" on ESPN board and that is uncalled for. When Justine Henin was the only one who beat their favorite Serena with any form of consistency, the intense hatred for her grew exponentially. Added to the fact that Justine Henin never endeared herself with the cowardly "hand" incident at the French open and her ignominious retirement and unretirement and retirement all added to the animus tennis fans had for her.

I actually love Henin. She's by far my favorite player of the past decade just barely after Serena.

Was just trying to see if any Serena haters on here were Henin fanatics. Obviously, old lion is a serena hater, but not of that ilk.

Now I know.

I don't hate Serena. Just fan boys who can not be impartial about anything. Apparently, you just put yourself into that category. You and Grosse should get together for tea.
