Peter Regin has signed a two-year deal for $1M per year ($950K and $1.05M) to avoid arbritration.

Senators sign Regin to two year deal and avoid arbitration

This looks like a great deal for Ottawa. This guy was the team's best forward in the playoffs and improved from training camp until Dupuis's series clincher. He should play in the top 6 and get between 40-50 points.

As a Sens fan I couldn't be happier. Now he just needs to change that god-awful number of his. :D

didn't some idiot reporter (Garrioch probably) recently suggest a Vanek type deal was in the cards?

good for Ottawa. I like watching this kid play.

It was either Garrioch or Brennan. Both have their heads up their asses, or more likely, each others' asses.

I really like Regin, but I would have been ECSTATIC if someone had offered him a "Vanek" deal. Five 1st rounders can be parlayed into plenty of talent.

At $1M per this deal is great for the Sens, IMO.

Kinda late on this one but this is a great signing. I was expecting him to get much more then he did.

And yes dash...I'm keeping the avatar for now. :)

It was Garrioch. I remember because I made a thread about it.

How dumb does it make him look though? I knew he wouldn't get anymore then 2 million yet Garrioch says he could get a 5 or 6 million dollar offer sheet? Don't think so...lol
