2) Why was Nova not sent to the East?

This was my fear and it was realized.

Xavier was the #2 in the East and we clearly have a better resume than Xavier.

The reason was to protect North Carolina. I'm 99% sure of it. The NCAA felt that if a regional final between UNC and Villanova was realized, it would be too unfair of an advantage because the game would be in Philly.

I agree it would have been an unfair advantage, but hey throw us a bone. UNC only has 8 McDonalds AA on their team every year.

Not to mention we prolly would have lost before that anyway.

Look at Vandy's schedule and then look at South Carolina's. Only a fucking idiot would say that Vandy's was better.

South Carolina had AWFUL OOC SOS at around 300 and committee has punished that in the past. Also they had some bad losses down stretch and really only 1 good win. They were pretty close, neither that much better than other.

How is it easy? Baylor is a terrible match up for Duke and Oregon is pretty freaking good. Then if they happened to beat those 2, they likely have Oklahoma waiting for them.

If you think of the four #1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament the same way as the Division 1 Football Playoff, it would be silly to have Virginia as a top seed. They failed to win their regular season conference title and failed a second time to win the conference tournament. It seems, given their penchant for finishing second, that they should have been a #2 seed.

By the way, how does the B1G have Michigan State as a #2, and then not another seeded team until Indiana, Maryland and Purdue as #5 seeds?

Looks like a terrible job seeding the B1G into the tournament.
