Its not that it was a loss. I can respect that. Ive been to plenty, believe me. And I still have a good time. Last night was completely different. I have never seen a worse case with my own eyes of a team having to battle a team plus the refs. I know I sound biased because it was my team that lost, but believe me, if you were there, you would have seen all the missed calls against the leafs.

Whatever... Real shitty start to the season. Lost way too much for one point.

I hate those kinds of games where it seems every call goes against and very few for.

Having said that.......just watching the short 1:33 clip Dash put up, I count 2/3 minors, a major and a game misc against you 3 of your boys.

You can't win games shooting yourself in the foot all night. I know....I'm a Flyer's fan.

Hjalmarsson got two games for hitting Pominville from behind (he got a concussion).

Wisniewski (didn't hockey players' names used to be easier to spell?) got two games for making a blow job gesture to Avery. That one was fucking hilarious.

The Hjalmarsson one illustrates the extent of injury in regards to a suspension. Pommer's got a concussion and could be out for who knows how long. In my mind, two games isn't enough because of that.

Avery isn't even going to have a meeting with the league. No suspension is looming. It helps when the guy making those decisions is a former Rangers employee. If an Islanders player on done this he'd get at least 5 games.

Thought it was odd how the hockey night live panel talked about recent hits that were bad or borderline the two ranger injuries that came out of the Toronto game but the avery slash was like it never happened they avoided that something awful.

How is he not suspended? He used his stick as a weapon. That should be an automatic suspension regardless of history, and Avery has a history to boot. This doesn't make sense.

This should have been a couple of games anyway. Tried to hurt him (not necessarily injure), didn't succeed, so he tried again. The intent was obvious and the infraction serious enough that an injury could have occurred.

Further, this was not a hockey play.

Campbell has lost his marbles. Brendan Shanahan should take over his job.

God Avery can you just play hockey for once ? You are a very capable player who can be a factor on the ice if you stay on it. I remember seeing an interview with Claude Lemieux recently and he said it took some time to realize he needed to get more control over what he did out there. If Lemieux can learn to cool it a bit I think Avery can.
