I do not have kids (stupid first generation leaky microwave oven) but this saddens and troubles me tremendously. I'm sitting at fucking Panda Express a bit ago teary eyed reading accounts of kids hiding in school closets fearing for their lives. Or the kid that texted his mother that he loved her in case he did not make it out. Its just all so hopeless....It was old the minute it was first trotted out.
As a parent you can't possibly be prepared or have a clue how this must feel to lose your child in a massacre like this. Heaven forbid this were to ever happen to me I would likely take some solace in the fact that, although my child is never coming back, officials are taking immediate action to try to prevent my neighbour from losing their child.
For example if a series of school buses with kids in them drive over a bridge and it fails, killing dozens of kids on multiple occasions, what would be the proper response from local, state and/or national leadership? In this scenario let's say a governor stood up and said " We're closing that goddam bridge indefinitely before any more senseless deaths can occur. The situation will be re-evaluated once proper risk assessments have been done." Would people shush him and say that "Now is not the time to discuss transportation policy!! We must grieve for the people lost in this terrible, terrible tragedy."?
Fuck off with that bullshit. It's insanity.

Done.HR has been giving me a break since I learned to respect women. I brought them some bonbons and some DVDs of soap operas and they have been invisible for the last two weeks.
MODS - CAN YOU REMOVE THE BONBONS AND SOAP OPERA POSTS ASAP PLEASE?
This sounds like something... something familiar...
Oh yeah. This guy:
What is sad the Dickey Amendment gets voted and this the usual outcome.
I love referring this:
And my Republican Congressman the last time I hit him on this responded back with the blanket that the CDC effort is a biased ban on guns for all.The Dickey Amendment bothers me a lot, but it bothers me about as much that they thought those verbal votes were clear enough to not move to a more rigorously counted vote. I though the ayes had it in the first one.
Unfortunately for me gerrymandering has me stuck with the worthless POS.I'm going to be active in getting my congressman voted out of office. After polls came out showing a very high percentage of his constituents were against the tax scam bill; he not only voted for it but also tweeted a picture of him getting Pence and Ryan to sign his copy of the 'historic' bill.
Plus he brags about his NRA rating.
You left out the branch distinguishing between white liberals and white supremacists.
back to dumbness
Roofie jokes are not so big in the workplace. I brought my coworker a coffee from Starbucks and when I brought it back I joked "don't worry, I didn't put a roofie in it". She laughed, but a few minutes later I saw her pouring it down the drain in the kitchenette.
I know, weak....best i can do right now
