It's actually been fascinating reading the stories of how people handled it. The vast majority tweetered or posted to facebook.

Weird to think the 50's and 60's Kids in schools were doing dive under the desk drills. And now, there is zero training on what to do. We do fire drills, tornado drills and take a training on active shooters. I admit, I have zero idea what to do if that warning happened here.

Aloha guys...

As most of you know, we got the biggest fucking scare of our lives here in Hawaii. Those 30 or so odd minutes was the most helpless I've ever felt in my life. In a nuclear attack, there is literally nothing you can do but stay close to your family and keep them calm.
Luckily for me, we were all home at the time. My wife and oldest were in tears as family members from the mainland and outer islands were calling or texting. My sister was calling and saying goodbye, it was a really fucked up situation.
I remained calm, for me, there is no sense in panicking, you just end up doing stupid things if you do. I just had a strange feeling that everything was going to be ok no matter how this goes, and I kept on repeating that to my family, that just relax and chill until we get more information.
We had just gotten back a few days ago from a 14 day family vacation to Los Angeles. We took our kids to their first Kings game, took them back to Disneyland 2 times in a week (lord knows why), Legoland and a whole bunch of other cool shit. So I was super stoked that we got to spend all that time together as a family. I was like, well at least we did that, but yet I really didn't believe that We were going out like this.
And so it was, we got the word that it was a false alarm, I was so mad inside, so upset that my kids had to go through this. So upest that my kids have to grow up in this fucked up world with leaders that are complete idiots. Fuck you Trump, fuck you Putin, fuck you Korean you kim chee eating motherfucker, and a huge fuck you to all you radical islamic extremists and to those people that are just plain fucked up. Get your head out of your selfish prick asses.
