Saw a blurb on a sports channel at the school cafeteria as I was walking by. Some race car driver was quoted as saying something to the effect that anyone who disrespects the American flag should leave the US.

If we're going to go that route, let's start with anyone displaying a traitorous flag; you know, the one that was actually intended for people who wanted to leave the US.

We shouldn't forget in all this that NFL chatter that Trump has long felt embarrassed/upset about the fact that the NFL club would never let him become a member. I think his tweetstorm this weekend just happens to hit all the marks on the Trump scorecard - petty, thin skinned, outside his domain, with just a hint of racism.

He's the old grumpy guy at the old folks home. It's just that tens of millions of uninformed idiots were like "hey, let's make that 'outsider' the President."

Man do I miss the devil we know.
