In fairness to McCain, today's vote only allows the bill to be debated in the senate. He didn't vote to pass the bill, and maintains he won't if it continues to exist the way it exists right now. His speech calling for a return to order is consistent with his vote, since he voted just on actually doing the procedures involved in a return to order.

Now, if following the debates, he votes to push through a crappy bill that will hurt people, then, sure, let him have it, but this vote is little more than procedural.

On Tuesday, I was reading a story about how recent heavy rains and flooding meant that the Inspectors lost a day and a half of inspection time and were "working overtime" to ensure that the fair would open on time...

Also, Eyewitness accounts say that the two guys operating the ride took off their company shirts and ran.
