Tennessee got a commitment from WR, Josh Smith. The recruiting gurus on Volnation are in meltdown mode over this one. I'm really not sure what to think myself, but I believe the coaches did see him workout in person, before they offered him.

LSU has its 16th commit, 3-star RB Kennard Swanson of Lakeland, FL. Swanson had ~ 8 offers, including one from Ole Miss.

As mentioned in the previous post, Tennessee has its 9th commit in Josh Smith, WR out of Knoxville, TN. Mr. Smith does not appear to have had any other offers.

And Kentucky has two new commits, and surprisingly, neither are basketball players. The first is Alvonte Bell, 3-star DE from Miramar, FL. Mr. Bell had > 10 offers, including ones from Mississippi and Vanderbilt. The other is Reese Phillips, QB from Signal Mountain, TN. Phillips also had an offer from Miss St. Wildcats with 3 commits.

Bama gets a big commit from Rivals250 4 star CB Maurice Smith out of Texas.

BAMA landed their 17th committment for 2013 class w/ JUCO OT Leon Brown from Brooklyn, NY ASA College. The 6'6", 310 pounder was recruited by Jeff Stoutland in the Spring.

UGA has its 20th commitment in Naim Mustaafa, 4-star DE from Alpharetta, GA. Bulldogs contine to lead the conference.

Alabama has 3 commitments since my last post: 3-star QB Parker McLeod from Marietta, GA, 4-star DB Maurice Smith of Sugar Land, TX and unrated OL Leon Brown of Brooklyn, NY. Tide is up to 17 commits.

South Carolina has its 16th commit in J.P. Vonashek, 3-star OL from Kingsland, GA.

LSU's 17th commit is 4-star QB Anthony Jennings from Marietta, GA. LSU has also had a couple of there previously unrated players evaluated, and they move into 2nd place.

Miss St has 2 new commits, bringing their total to 4. They are 3-star WR BJ Hammond out of Gadsden, AL, and 3-star OL Kent Flowers from Hollandale, MS.
