Like I've said before, If we get this guy..great! I'm just not seeing where he's gonna play. If he wants to play RB he needs to stay at UGA, nothing negative toward the dawgs, but I think he'd start sooner with yall than with us.

This sounds weird, but I just don't know what he sees in us right now. Unless like someone said, he wants to play FB...but we use our TE's for that.

Maybe ole Nussmeier is changing things up a bit and he's seeing something in our offense that we don't even know about yet...:noidea:

For the 1st time ever, Saban made a scholarship offer to a long-snapper last week. Days after recieving that offer, Cole Mazza from Bakersfield, CA has became the 18th committment for the Crimson Tide's 2013 signing class. Mazza is considered the best long-snapper in the nation and was previously committed to UCLA.

I'm sure this will bring our rating down. He's a specialist and I'm sure not rated very high overall. But CNS offered him a scholly, so I'm sure he is very good and a need for BAMA.

JM in the house, and we have some teams moving.

Alabama has its 18th commitment in Cole Mazza, a 2-star OL and long-snapper from Bakersfield, CA. He had 4 other offers from West Coast teams. One of the services has also evaluated a previously unrated recruit, giving the Tide another little bump.

Vanderbilt has a commitment from 4-star wideout Carlos Burse from Alpharetta, GA. Mr. Burse also had offers from South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. Commodores are up to 10 commits.

Tennessee has a couple of new commits. Zach Brown is an unrated LB from Loganville, GA. Riley Ferguson is a 3-star QB from Matthews, NC. He also had offers from LSU and Alabama (impressive!).

After a slow start, Arkansas continues to move - their 8th commit is unrated wideout Jervenski Johnson from Amite, LA.

But the big news comes from Texas A&M, who moves into 2nd place with two new commits. Noel Ellis is a 4-star DB from New Orleans, LA. He had > 20 offers, including ones from Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St, and Tennessee. He is the only commit for the Aggies outside of TX. Tavares Garner is a 4-star CB from Manvel, TX. He had > 10 offers, including one from Miss St.

Two things worth noting: at the moment, A&M leads Texas, which makes you wonder if the SEC affiliation is already paying off. And as I've said a couple of times, it is going to be interesting to see if the much hyped 'texas talent' is up to speed with the athletes from the Southeast.

Wow, 2 decommits in a week. Weird. Neither were necessarily needed, but losing a 5* will hurt their ranking (of course that doesn't mean much).

Should get a commit or two tomorrow at the Mark Richt Camp.

Georgia has some other nice receiver commits already. Looks like they should be fine if they can hang on to them.

Yeah, not sweating Kyrin decommitting at all. The decommit of Derrick Henry really hurts UGA's recruiting ranking but they are stacked at RB for a couple of years. Both have said that the Bulldogs are not out of contention, just that they committed too early and have reopened their recruitment. Although I would be suprised if either ended up recommitting (particularly Henry who should be Bama bound, his HS coach really helped change his mind. He may working in Tuscaloosa soon.).

WR Priester may have been replaced Saturday by Rico Johnson, although he'll probably play CB because of his size. Rico transfered high schools and sat out last season, so he is not ranked with any services that I've seen. Rico Johnson ran a 4.25 40 and really impressed coaches at the Mark Richt Camp - they offered on the spot, he committed immediately. He said he cried & hugged Richt, telling him it was his dream to be a Bulldog. DGD. Glad to have someone like that.

Reuben Foster reportedly had a great time at Richt's camp. :becky:

I'd trade him for Henry all day.

Alright, JM here, trying to sort out this mess. First, some administrative notes - LSU and UGA have both had decommits, affecting the rankings. Several teams had players re-evaulated, including Alabama again, allowing them to take the lead from UGA.

Texas A&M has its 20th commitment in unrated ATH Alex Sezer of Orange, TX.

Florida has a commitment from 4-star DE Joey Ivie from Dade City, FL. Ivie fielded offers from > 20 teams, including ones from Mizzou, Miss St, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vandy. Gators now have 17 commits.

Vanderbilt had a big weekend, pulling in 3 recruits. Nigel Bowden is a 4-star LB from Macon, GA, who had offers from Ole Miss, Miss St, and Tennessee. Sean Spencer is a 3-star DE from Newnan, GA, who also had offers from LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss St. 3-star DB Darrius Sims is from Memphis, TN. Mr. Sims also had offers from Ole Miss and Miss St. Commodores are now up to 13 commits.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Tennessee got its 12th commit in Zach Bradshaw, unrated LB out of Loganville, GA.

And Kentucky has its 4th commit in unrated OL Jake Boynton out of Marietta, GA.

5 South Carolina, 17 commits, 10.95
6 LSU, 16 commits, 10.85
7 Auburn, 13 commits, 8.65
8 Vanderbilt, 13 commits, 8.0
9 Missouri, 13 commits, 7.4
10 Mississippi, 12 commits, 6.9
11 Tennessee, 10 commits, 5.75
12 Miss. St., 10 commits, 5.65
13 Arkansas, 8 commits, 4.2
14 Kentucky, 4 commits, 1.8

If any Gamecocks should stumble across this place from this thread, I'm keeping a list of our recruits over in the team board.
