Georgia hasn't played @ Alabama since 2007

Georgia hasn't played @ LSU since 2008

They play neither in 2012.

Who the fuck schedules the SEC? Adding two programs now and watch this gap Increase.

The SEC rocks ... I don't like it, but they are the best. Trust me, if Georgia is good enough (and I think they are), they will play LSU or Alabama.

It is annoying that the schedules can turn out so unfair at times but it happens. I was hoping the SEC would go to 16 teams and then do 4 divisions.

The reason being we would have maybe 3-4 teams we play every year and switch up even more, that way you get to play more teams, different teams often.

But with 16 teams, 4-4 divisions, 8 conference games a year... it would take 6 seasons to complete the rotation. For instance, with Ole Miss in another division, UGA wouldn't play them again until 2018 or 19.

I would hate being in a conference where my team goes 2 or 3 years without playing one of our major rivals.

Do you not have an annual rival from the other division? Like UGA/Auburn, Alabama/Tennessee, etc?

We play all of our rivals every year. UF in our division, Auburn in the West, and GT in OOC obviously. Plus our secondary rivals SCAR & UT are both in our division.

Minnesota. But our best, most enjoyable(and frustrating) rivalry for the last 20 years has been Iowa. Minnesota has given us scares once in a while, and they play their best game every year for the axe, but Iowa was our #1 rival. We no longer play them annually.

I guess the school or conference could only pick one. In UGA's case they got it right, as Georgia & Auburn have been playing for so long & there is a long connection between the two... but the SEC has some fucked up annual rivals too, like UF/LSU. I guess everyone can't be happy when splitting into divisions.

True. I hate the NCAA for the division rule, though. They should have let us host championship games a decade ago.
