Scott, 25, had a 2.34 ERA with a strong 9.2 K/9 but a too-high 5.1 BB/9 in 61 2/3 innings of relief this season at Double-A Biloxi. He was a fifth-round pick of the Cubs in 2011, but Chicago released him last year, then signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers after a brief stint in independent ball. He did not rank in MLB.com’s list of the Brewers’ top 30 prospects.
He can screw up a wet dreamEvan screwing me up too

I agree, but to be fair the Cliff Lee trade, the Hamilton trade and the Beltre signing are feathers in his cap since the Tex trade. Throw in the first Napoli acquisition as well. I do agree that he hasn't had much work out for him since the WS years though. His reputation does need a very good last hour though.Where are we discussing the Lucroy trade? Because I'm ticked about it. We got him and Jefress (spare) for Brinson, and now we get back a PTBNL?
JD needs to smash a homerun today or the patience with him is going to be very thin. Can't live on the Tex deal forever.
Nobody may have known Lucroy would have such a bad start to this season. That much is true. I didn't like the trade when it happened even though I had no idea how they would play for us. Brinson was someone to hold onto. Trading him was a mistake.Hindsight makes everyone an expert. It looked like a great trade at the time. Nobody knew both would shit the bed this year. Nobody expected it.
Reminds me of the Harold Baines fiasco.Of course no one knew they would both be so bad. still pisses me off though. This ranks right up there with the Dempster trade now.
It could be as simple as clearing out a roster spot. It could also be a case where we can choose between 2 players like when we chose Joaquin Arias over Robinson Cano.Anyone remind me what PTBNL is all about? That's someone who isn't in the majors and now won't be until he is sent to us, right? So why can't they name him now? Is it rules against trading a minor leaguer?
Hitzges was speculating that the PTBNL for Lucroy has already been determined, but can't be announced.
Some of ya may know this, but according to Norm, "if the trade includes a player/players which were just drafted then it can't be announced until after the WS."
Minor league SS/3rd baseman drafted in the 2nd round (48th pick) - Ryan Vilade, and/or the sandwich pick Tommy Doyle (pitcher) from U of VA (70th pick).
If we got 2 guys drafted this high for Lucroy then job well done.
Lucroy and Dyson always have WBC to look back at this year....Nobody may have known Lucroy would have such a bad start to this season. That much is true. I will not be happy if he can't find a good return for Yu, but not necessarily because he couldn't work out something with the Dodgers. We still have a few minutes to go though. So would anyone else be upset if JD kept Yu if LAD won't part with one of their top 2? I wouldn't. I'm now at the point of telling them to fuck off.
