Game Thread: Season Opener: Sharks vs Canucks

After all the talk about a reset and getting younger, it looks pretty much like the same Canucks team. Would have been nice to see one of the youngsters up for a few games.

that being said lightning has to strike once at least and other teams do the same we just dont hear about it were still going to suck

True, although Stanton is predominately with the Canucks due to the CBA waive claim 30 day requirement to remain with the team. Who knows, he could play great and stick, but I think he's likely headed to Utica.

/It will be interesting to see how long it takes before Corrado is recalled.

appears Stantons going straight into the starting lineup as the 6 guy ... they have to waive him if they want to send him down after 30 so this is his on the job tryout ... good to hear the blackhawks wanted to keep him ... gotta have some ability

brief anecdote before game observation (pre-emptive: cool story bro)

just back from sons soccer practice ... its indoors at a nearby elementary school gym ... practices always end with a 3 on 3 ... theres a kid on my sons team who is just a mess of a kid ... storms out the door when misses kicks ... makes an excessively angry face when his team gets scored on ... shakes his fist when he loses possession ... gets physical and shoves players when he cant get the ball ... then kids shove him back and he starts crying ... runs to mommy

kids first name is kesler

all of us dads who atttend chuckle at that
