i know technically the season is not over, but for all purposes today is a good time to summarize the season and path forward with the Good, the bad and the Ugly about the organization after this season.

Wade - Thank you for a great season, for making this season watchable and for going out as a competitive NBA player and great team mate. Fun to watch even at 36. We owe you a debt of gratitude. Unfortunately, the organization let you down. More on this later.

Your contributions to this organization and city can not be understated! You are the Heat!

The Future

Our young guys seem to be so darn inconsistent that can’t see this team being any better than 500 for a while. Winston, Richardson, Mcgruder Olynck
And BAM are just too inconsistent. Waiters and Dragic are who they are. Whiteside can be so darn good at times but this coaching staff just can’t get much out of him. Winston and Richardson struggle to perform at the biggest moments and seem to not be able to stay healthy. The other experiments well let’s just say they are just that.

This Organization

The Tyler Johnson trade and the unwillingness to pick up players down the stretch just showed that this organiarion continues to undervalue and under appreciate Wade when it comes to meaningful dollars. The organization has financially screwed Wade on more than one occasion. After he took a pay cut, they rewarded him by allowing him to take less to try and retain Lebron and then when the moment of time came they forced him to go to a Chicago because they would not pay what it required. Then they give him peanuts this season and give him little help to try and make the playoffs this year by getting rid of Tyler Johnson for nothing in a salary dump. That and Spolestra cost the team again. Disappointed in the organizations saving of money when it involved Wade. Pay Spolestra and his staff less. At least the organization made bold moves like hiring Riley and trading for Shaq in the past.

Spolestra

This guy gets pass after pass. Is he any better than a coach Lue of the Cavs? Both won a title 50 percent of the time that they had Lebron but Spolestra had so much more. Spolestra made by Wade really hurt Wade down the line. In close games this season much like in 2016-2017 and 2014-2015, he was outcoached versus teams either not as hungry or via teams with comparable talent. His record at home was bad. He can’t decide on a lineup and tinkers so much that it is amazing that his teams can even compete. He has always needed great players to bail him out. When he does not have them, he just can’t get it done. He is mediocre and his decisions are mind boggling. His inability to motiviste his highest paid player is an indictment on him. Even today versus the Raptors, we see a microcosm of what Spolestra is all about. Bad adjustments at half lead to a bad 3rd quarter, decisions like playing Bam who was -13 in OT versus Hassan who was plus 5, and the playing of Derrick Roberts are just a few examples of how he blew Wades final season. Still not a good offensive coach and never has been. Gosh forbid what happens to him minus Wade or all All Star in the future.

I agree. He was amazing and at his age he still found a way to be one of the best players on the roster. Outside of seeing the major improvement in Bam and Justice, Wade made this season enjoyable.

I like what I saw out of Winslow and Bam. Bam needs a consistent jump shot and I honestly think Winslow needs the ball more.

He is better than Richardson IMO. J-Rich started out good then took a major stepback
