True. It was minor but it still happened. My thing would have been(depending on usefulness) either a 5 game suspension or cut

i don't think he should get suspended for simply being a passenger in a car after he'd drank too much. Not his fault the driver crashed. But, if he fails the (almost sure to come) piss test for smoking weed he will almost definitely sit for 4 games. I think that is the first offense for using illegal substances. It will be up to the Seahawks to decide if he's worth hanging onto after that.

"Boykin, 23, was being held on $500 bond at the Dallas County Jail. He is currently on probation stemming from an incident in 2015, when he was TCU's starting quarterback.

He was suspended for the Alamo Bowl after a Dec. 31, 2015, incident at a bar.

He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest in June and paid a $1,500 fine, plus $237 in court costs, and was placed on one year probation. He was also ordered to take alcohol awareness and anger management courses and serve 80 hours of community service."

I just really dislike Kaep. Even more so after he pulled his "I won't stand for the anthem" stunt last year. RG3 would never be my first choice for a starter but he'd be an OK back-up QB I think. He's still young and he once flashed skills good enough to win ROY honors and he was a second overall pick. I think he'd do OK as a back-up and with RW to mentor him (even though they are the same age I think Russ is far older mentally than RG3).

RG has never been the same since his injury. Ironically against us.

Kaep, meh. Athletes have a long history of speaking out on social issues. Their reputations take a hit in the short term, and eventually public opinion shifts.

Freedom of speech can be a bitch.

He was in trouble once before in College. This would be his first time running afoul of the NFL personal conduct policy I think. I don't know if the NFLPA allows Goodell to use his college past in deciding a punishment for NFL infractions. But I'm not a lawyer so I don't know for sure.

Don't really want all the drama that would come with Kaep either but RGIII? Really?

In theory, at the very least Kaep could come in and run the offence, be a read option threat and pass the ball now and then.
I think kaep would be the better option all being even. I think Kaep's little episodes last year combined with no one offering him a contract may have been just enough to humble him a bit. RGIII and his father may still be a distraction?

I can't see RG3 allowing RW to mentor him. Just not in his DNA.

We could draft a guy . ...
What round? Who? Do you really want to risk the season on a rookie if something happened to Wilson? Even the top ranked QBs this year are not a comforting thought.

It would be the smartest thing RG3 did so far in the NFL if he'd let RW mentor him. Russ has shown nothing but maturity and professionalism in his 5 seasons so far. RG3 could learn a thing or two from him. Maybe, like you say, his ego wouldn't let him do that, but it would be a good move for him I think.

Johos don't stand either.

But their Saturday AM door knocking pisses me off way more than that.....

Not standing doesn't affect me one little bit.

Irritating me by knocking on my door proselytising though...

Without a doubt. If roles were reversed Wilson could swallow his pride I'd bet? RG no waaaaaayyyyy

Not sure if you're being serious or not? But he wouldn't be terrible if he came cheap enough. That would give Seattle two mobile QBs. It would certainly make it easier for the struggling Oline if RW did go down.
Football wise yes actually. Would need to take backup money. Baltimore too.

This is true.

And I, personally, think it is done by design with the owners' blessing so that come next CBA talks, when the NFLPA wants to take Roger's God-mode powers away, the owners will then demand something in return.
