Personally I bet Scuderi was never really interested in re-signing here in LA. Not going to hold that against him, he gave us 4 terrific years.

it may have been too many years we don't know. Scuderi was probably looking to get as long as contract as possible because after next year any contract he would sign would be a 35+ and he wouldn't want to risk losing money.

Yeah a shame to lose him. His defensive play will be missed. Less if Mitchell is able to come back and that is what will most likely prevent any big signings by the Kings until it's determined that he can't return to form.

Yea I think 4 years would be a bit too much for Scuds but none the less he is a class act and will be missed. I hope the contingency plan isn't Ellerby and Rehger. Hopefully Mitchell gets back to form.

I will appreciate Scuds for everything he did in LA. Sure he is declining but I wouldn't have minded seeing him here another season or 2. Bobby Ryan would have been a great pickup if that was possible, I thought I read him and Kopitar became friends over seas or something while playing together.

Well Richardson being gone won't upset a lot of fans. I kind of liked him. He wasn't a huge goal scorer but he was decent in the face-off circle and played a solid two-way game and one of the fastest skaters on the team. Nice 3rd or 4th line center. In the end though his type are pretty easily replaced and he won't be a loss by the team. Kings are pretty stocked at the center ice position. What I'd really like to see is a left winger with speed who can score. Yeah I know, dream on Ox.

Which is kind of worrisome since that is what Ellerby/Martinez should be. Hopefully at least one of those 3 will step up. I think Martinez has the promise of doing so.....
