Who cares about UCLA? Their fans sure don't, unless they're winning a lot. Bunch of fair weather sissies who like to talk about how there's "so much more interesting things to do than watch football in LA".

Damn right. During the College WS their fans were nowhere to be seen and they have one of the biggest stadiums. Pitiful, they take it for granted.

Why?

I never understood this. That is the absolute worst thing you can do. A couple years ago everyone I was with turned off the TV when we were losing by a bunch to Ohio State late in the 3rd quarter and they left the house.....leaving me there alone.

It sure was funny when they came back later and I was sitting there with a big smile and a glass of whiskey.

I did it

Was in Memphis with my wife and got pissed off and said "Let's go down to Beale Street"

So we went down there and we're just wandering around getting drunk and some guy yells "Nice game Husker" across the street at me (had me a husker t-shirt on) and I muttered something like "Fuck you smart ass".

Went back to the room and found out I missed the biggest comeback in the history of the Huskerz.

I learnt that day. The Huskerz will mess with ya. Don't turn your back on them.

Before the season started, I EXPECTED a win versus UCLA. I was a HUGE fanboi, posting how 40 years ago, history repeats itself, blah blah blah.....

Then I watched the Wyoming game.



I will feel bad if what I expect to happen, happens. I will be wearing red. I will drink out of my Nebraska coffee cups. I will bring out all my husker chotskies, I won't throw anything at the TV. I will yell a lot. If it gets bad, I will turn off the TV in disgust, whine on the message boards, then go do some household chores.

There is loyalty and then there is loyalty. Every year for over 20 years, it has been my tradition to buy at least two Nebraska shirts or sweatshirts or sweaters or coats. I feel I bleed Husker Red. But I too ain't gonna painfully watch if we tank during the UCLA game.

Between the blowouts from the Callahan years to the less than anticipated blowouts recently, I'm just better off shutting down the TV or switching channels.

Just with the past 2 seasons lingering in my brain, how in the hell am I supposed to talk myself into believing that this will be the game that we finally show up in under the spotlight?
