It would be nice to see JJ get to 50 saves and Davis win 2/3 TC categories. Looks like they'll set the error record.

Watching the game last night with the 'b-players' males me pissed at buck, that he mismanaged down the stretch and could have given rest to the A-squad while playing the b squad and we wouldn't have falterred down the stretch

I don't understand the deal with Morse rarely getting off the bench either!

I'm not sure I would go that far regarding the "B" squad however, Buck did mismanage his team. Far too many times he left pitchers in too long and continued to give AB's to guys who were in long stretches struggling. The starting rotation was not very good and the bullpen stunk this year. Add all that up and you can finger point at ALL parties. This includes the front office who had such swagger after last year's brief post season success, they ran the same team back out there.

News to our management, every year each team tries to make their team better through the draft and FA. You better wake up Baltimore because you won't see another down year from the Yankees, the Red Sox own you and the Jays won't remain in the cellar with the talent they have. As for the Rays, they may be the class of the division next year. Our team needs PITCHING, PITCHING, PITCHING to make progress towards the post season next year. And don't give me this, "we picked up Norris, Feldman". These guys are 4-5 rotation starters at best and were let go by their respective teams for a reason. We need a true ACE and a very solid #2 starter to go with Gonzo & Chen. Then start restructuring the BP with O'Day at the top of the list. If that means the likes of Norris and or Feldman to the pen, then so be it. I would rather see a rotation of ACE, #2, Tillman, Chen & Gonzo or Norris with the latter to the pen then I'm all for it. If Gausman has to start in the pen with Norris or Gonzo then that means we are that much stronger there. Pick up a legitimate DH (Sorry Valencia) to plug in along with Schoop and let's see how that team pans out next year.

So in reality, I'm talking about picking up the following:
1. Ace
2. #2 starter
3. DH

This will allow us to cut ties with guys such as Hammel, Feldman, Rodriguez, RRob, McFarland & Teagarden.

Maybe they go after Garza to go with Tillman, Norris, Chen and either MG/KG. I like Feldman and wouldn't mind seeing him back but I don't know if they could fit him. They need another long reliever unless they use Gausman strictly there instead of starting for next year. Dump Patton, KRod and TJ. Perhaps Stinson or Steve J. emerge there too. Mike Wright as well.

I think We will see TJ sometime next year because he still has options. That seems to be important to Buck.
