If there is blood, you go off for 4. They are saying the refs said it was just re-opening his earlier cut. That was a LOT of blood. Don't know about that.

In any case, we're more likely to score 5v5 right now.

An important distinction though is that it has to cause an injury. If a guy is already bleeding from something else, you don't get 4 because you hit an already bleeding guy. I would imagine the rule would be if you hit a guy who is already injured, you call 4 only if it appears that the foul would have caused an injury on its own.

That said, Laich got nailed pretty hard on the second one; I still think 4 would have been appropriate.

Yeah, you're right. On the DC feed, they showed the hit in the first - the top of his nose was bleeding. The second his whole nostril was gushing. In any case, we've had the PP advantage tonight, so we can't complain much.
